Nil began as an avatar character, a representation of myself. However, after a number of years spent working on Project Sylvalus and doing other geeky things like roleplaying, Nil has become a completely separate entity from myself. Every time I do something more with him, he branches a little bit more away from me. And thus, for that reason, I find it really odd to be called by that name. I never used to have any problem with it, but now, with Nil being an important character in the plot of Project Sylvalus, I just can't get used to the feeling of personally responding to that name when the friends I've made online call me by it.
As a result, I've moved on to the account ~Adapa. Why Adapa? Because it keeps in the theme of Mesopotamian mythology which has been an underlying influence on Sylvalus. Adapa, the hero who accidentally gave up immortality when offered it by Anu, was the first free name to use on here that I felt could suit me. If anyone is going to refer to me by an online alias, I'd vastly prefer it be that over Nil.
If you hang out with me on Tegaki, too, you can find the Tegaki counterpart to my new account name here: [link]

Man, aren't you mad? I mean, I'm wasting about twenty-one words of your reading time. I'd be angry. So angry.
